We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to move between West Seneca and Amherst locations as caseload demands.
Buffalo Occupational Therapy is the only stand-alone outpatient occupational therapy presence in Western New York and we specialize in neurological restorative therapy using the full OT scope of practice.

Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to youth, adult, and geriatric patients
- Prepare documentation, progress notes, and discharge summaries, as required
- Establish a plan of care in accordance with the patient's needs and capabilities with the OT
- Implement a full-scope occupational therapy plan of care with the evaluating occupational therapist.
- Monitor patients' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement
- Supervise patients' activities to ensure they are done properly
- Work closely with intradisciplinary team to maintain the progress of patients during the plan of care
Requirements:
- 18 hours per week (10-4 M,T,Th) May change based on caseload demands, will discuss.

- Valid NY COTA License and Credentials
- Cover letter and Resume is required with the title "BOT New York"
- Ability to research interventions and diagnoses
- Experience using EMRs
- Strong anatomy and neuroscience knowledge
- Strong understanding of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework
- Must have own laptop for documentation. Ipad helpful to communicate with team.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID
