CMOP-E - Models of practice occupational therapy

Info: Three main parts of this approach considers person, environment, and occupation but takes special consideration of the “spirituality” of the person. To address this center, the OTP will take into consideration the affective, cognitive, and physical aspects of each occupational performance barrier.

What does this look like applied to a session? Taking time during the evaluation interview and each subsequent session to understand the ‘deeper’ components of performing each activity. Someone may have the mechanical components to perform an activity, but are they confident? Do they feel they have internal or external locus of control? Even in physical disability settings, every OT session should be grounded in a holistic execution.
