Occupational Therapy Tutoring and Mentorship

Buffalo Occupational Therapy has a primary mission to use the resources of outpatient occupational therapy clinics and our knoweldge of the occupational therapy practice to improve the competence and confidence of OT practitioners (both assistants and therapists of occupational therapy). We seek to foster excellence in OT practice which is why we offer both tutoring and mentorship programs to the OT community. Please browse this page to learn more about the services we offer.

BOT Tutoring

Who is this for? 

  • Occupational Therapy Students (OTA or OT)
  • Students preparing for certification exam

How much is this? 

  • $30/hour

How does it work? 

  • Sign up
  • State what you are seeking tutoring in, upload any applicable content
  • Receive a confirmation from BOT for your time and who will tutor you
  • Meet for 1-hour time blocks to discuss the topic you have selected

BOT ‘ONE-OFF’ MENTORSHIP

Who is this for? 

  • New practitioners in an adult-based setting
  • Members or non-members of the BOT Portal
  • Those who want to have one-off mentorship meetings at their leisure
  • Those who want personal discussion and training on a specific topic or case study
  • Seasoned practitioners transitioning to a new adult-based practice setting

How much is this? 

  • $30/hour

How does it work? 

  • Sign up
  • State what you are seeking tutoring in, upload any applicable content
  • Receive a confirmation from Michelle for your time block (all mentorship calls are by Michelle)
  • Meet for 1-hour time blocks to discuss the topic you have selected

BOT Portal Mentorship Program – CEUs

Who is this for? 

  • Annual BOT Portal Membership members
  • Those willing and able to commit to a structured program and meet specific requirements for CEUs

How much is this? 

  • No fee
  • Application required (scroll down)
  • Number of mentees accepted are based on availibility

How does it work? 

  • Become a BOT Portal annual member
  • Complete application process
  • Be accepted
  • Complete a pre-determined number of contact hours, assignments, and required record keeping from NBCOT
  • Begin on a pre-determined date.

    BOT Portal Mentorship Application

    **This is not an application for general tutoring/one-off mentorhsip sessions about specific things you want to discuss. That is a separate services that you must sign-up for by scheduling an appointment with Buffalo Occupational Therapy.  This application is for the ‘Annual BOT Portal Membership’ Mentorship program. You must be an annual member in order to be considered. 

    Deadline for the January 2022 mentorship period will be November 19th, 2021.

    TWO Mentees will be chosen.
