A letter from our owner regarding COVID-19
To our friends and public,
It is with great sadness, but confidence, that we must take measures to be part of the solution and not the problem. Due to the increasing number of diagnoses, social distancing recommendations, and apparent harmful side effects of the COVID-19 virus, Buffalo Occupational Therapy will be temporarily pausing patient treatments both in-home and in-studio. It is extremely important for us to protect the personal space and wellness of our patients and ensure we limit unnecessary risks during this time.
At this time, we have notified all current patients of our action plan to begin treatments once again and look forward to continuing to make great progress towards your goals! For new patients, we are still taking phone calls and scheduling tentative evaluation dates beginning in April 2020.
Should these recommendations continue, we are also taking steps to offer telehealth services by way of video conferencing. These services will consist of consulting services and activity ideas to caregivers affected by the closing of senior day hab services and those suffering from traumatic brain injuries in need of neurocognitive training. We will announce the availability of these services as they roll out.
We want you to know how much your loyalty to Buffalo Occupational Therapy means to us and look forward to continuing to cultivate our relationship during these uncertain times.
Please know that we continue to be available by phone, fax, Facebook messaging, and e-mail.
